Gotthärdli am See is a wonderful, family-friendly Thai restaurant in Zug. Located in the charming old town, this establishment offers a great dining experience for parents and children alike. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating, including an upstairs dining area with beautiful views overlooking Lake Zug. On a warm summer day, our family chose to relax in the shaded outdoor seating area, which sits right next to the historic bird cages maintained by the Ornithologischer Verein der Stadt Zug. This unique setup kept our kids entertained watching the birds while we unwound and enjoyed views of the lake and town.
To accommodate young travelers, the restaurant provides high chairs, coloring activities, and a dedicated kids’ menu. Table reservations can be made easily online, where you can also view the frequently rotating lunch menu. During our visit, we ordered stir-fried beef, which was excellent.
