Waterfall Finstersee

Located in the canton of Zug, Switzerland is a stunning waterfall accessible via a loop trail. This hike begins at the church in Finstersee and takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

To embark on this adventure, start at the church and head towards the forest. Follow the trail to the left, heading towards “Sparen.” As you pass charming farms, keep an eye out for a wooden sign that reads “zum Wasserfall.” The path narrows and descends steeply into the valley, leading you to the beautiful waterfall. Note that this trail may not be suitable for young children due to its narrow and muddy conditions; sturdy footwear is essential.

At the waterfall, you’ll find a picturesque bridge and a picnic table, perfect for enjoying a snack while taking in the views. You can approach quite close to the cascading water. Once you’ve finished viewing the waterfall, follow the trail back up to the road, which will lead you back to Finstersee. Parking is conveniently available next to the church.
