We chose a 3-hour rental, which was ideal for a journey from Hergiswil, cruising near the Bürgenstock area, and soaking in views of Lucerne’s mountains and waterfront. Starting from Hergiswil was a highlight, as it’s a quieter spot compared to the busy Lucerne city docks. Although the weather wasn’t warm enough for swimming on our day out, the boat is equipped with a ladder at the back, making it easy for kids to jump in and out of the water when the temperature allows. For families who want to combine cruising with a swim, a 4-hour rental would be perfect.
