Glasi Hergiswil, a 200-year-old glass factory on the shores of Lake Lucerne, is a fantastic family-friendly destination. Located just 15 minutes from Lucerne, it offers a unique blend of history, craftsmanship, and seasonal fun. During the Easter season, the factory hosts a free Easter scavenger hunt for children. For dates and opening hours, check the official website. Here’s everything you need to know to plan your visit.
The Glasi Hergiswil Easter Scavenger Hunt
During the holidays, the factory hosts a glass bunny scavenger hunt designed for children aged 4 to 12.
- How it works: Pick up a participation card at the Glasi shop. Your task is to find 11 glass bunnies hidden throughout the property, both indoors and outdoors.
- The challenge: Each bunny features a multiple-choice question. Match your answers to the letters on your card to solve the puzzle.
- Signage: The signs are in German but can easily be translated using a smartphone.
- The reward: Once you complete the puzzle, return your card to the shop to collect a prize.
- Duration: The factory grounds are quite large, so budget at least one hour for the scavenger hunt. We didn’t leave enough time, and our kids couldn’t finish it.
