Our family’s visit to the legendary Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como was a highlight of our Italian adventure. We stopped in for lunch at T Pizza, the hotel’s poolside pizzeria, and spent a leisurely afternoon wandering the magnificent gardens, soaking in the views and the atmosphere.

Lunch at T Pizza
Tucked behind the main hotel, T Pizza is a relaxed outdoor restaurant right by the pool, shaded by the garden’s trees. The wood-fired pizzas were outstanding, and the service was warm and attentive. We recommend calling ahead for a reservation, especially in high season, as it is popular and fills up quickly.
Exploring the Property
After lunch, we explored the hotel’s lush park, one of the oldest and largest private gardens on the lake. The winding paths lead to panoramic viewpoints and tranquil corners, with stunning vistas of the hotel and Lake Como at every turn. The lobby is a must-see for its historic charm. Note: the grounds and hotel have many stairs, making strollers impractical. Parking can be difficult (mostly street parking), so arriving by ferry or public transit is much easier, particularly during busy months.
