Exploring Zurich Botanical Gardens with Your Family
Zurich Botanical Gardens, located at the University of Zurich, is a delightful destination for families. This vibrant oasis offers a wonderful opportunity to explore nature in the city, and admission is completely free. Plan to spend at least 1-2 hours on your visit.
The three tropical greenhouses were a highlight of our visit. The impressive glass domes each have their own unique climate, featuring tropical, desert, and temperate environments. They house over 7,000 plant species. The tropical greenhouse feels like a jungle, complete with a viewing platform and exotic plants like cocoa trees. We really enjoyed the desert dome with the variety of cactai. Stroller parking is available outside, and there are stairs indoors to explore the space.
Outside the greenhouses, there are large areas to run around and explore. It’s a great place for a picnic by the beautiful pond. Be sure to explore the little trails with beautiful flowers and large trees. Zurich Botanical Gardens is an ideal place for families to connect with nature and learn together in a beautiful setting.
