Stella Boat Tours is located in Riomaggiore, the southernmost village of Cinque Terre—a region famous for its dramatic cliffs and colorful seaside towns. Our family booked a three-hour private boat excursion with Stella Boat Tours, setting out from the quaint Riomaggiore harbor to explore all five iconic villages of Cinque Terre. Along the way, we stopped for swimming and soaked in the incredible coastal scenery.

A Warm Welcome and an Eventful Day on the Water
On the day of our trip, the sea was unusually choppy for July, but the Stella Boat Tours crew greeted us with warm smiles and helped our family safely aboard in the small harbor. Our captain made every effort to keep the ride comfortable despite the swell. The kids were thrilled when he tossed pieces of focaccia into the water, instantly attracting swarms of curious fish right next to the boat. My son loved using the provided snorkel mask to view them up close. The captain also shared fascinating stories about the nearby villages and the unique national park, which includes both land and sea. While the adults enjoyed chilled prosecco, the kids stayed refreshed with cold bottled water. At one point, our children even took a nap beneath the boat’s shaded lounge.
Tip: Bring towels and extra goggles for younger children, as the provided masks may not fit small faces perfectly. Despite the rough seas, we wholeheartedly recommend the experience—though calmer waters might make it even more enjoyable.

Smooth Booking and Excellent Service
Booking was simple and efficient. We contacted Stella Boat Tours by email and were impressed with their prompt, friendly responses. When rain was forecast for our original date, the company was flexible and worked with us to reschedule, ensuring we enjoyed the trip in the best possible weather
