This is the second year our family has enjoyed Spooky Mini Golf at the Mall of Switzerland, part of their annual Malloween celebration. Located just 15 minutes by car from Lucerne, it’s an easy outing for families looking for some Halloween fun indoors. The spooky mini golf is open Monday to Saturday until 31 October. Plan around 30–60 minutes to enjoy this festive, spooky game.
Playing Spooky Mini Golf
To get started, head to the Info Point desk on the first floor near Müller and Zara. In exchange for an ID, you’ll receive putters. This year, it costs 2 CHF per ball (still very reasonable), or you can bring your own golf balls. Scorecards are also found at the Info Point Desk although we don’t keep score. Some holes are tricky, and we just play for fun. The 14-hole course spans three levels throughout the mall. The three holes on the second floor can be a bit tricky to find—they’re tucked away next to Snipes. The kids loved it! It’s simple, fun, and relatively inexpensive. We played for about 30–40 minutes, and the spooky displays added just the right amount of Halloween atmosphere. Because it’s inside the mall, it’s easy to combine a round of mini golf with a little shopping or errands.
Parking and Arrival
The Mall of Switzerland has a large, covered parking garage, making access easy by car. It’s also convenient to reach by public transport via the Buchrain train stop. Once inside, you’ll find plenty of dining options to choose from, or you can stop for a treat at Café Bachmann, located right next to the mini golf area.
