The restaurant at La Fleur de Lys in Gruyères is known for its traditional Swiss cuisine, particularly its exceptional fondues. We ordered the classic Moitié-Moitié fondue which came with both bread and potatoes. It was delicious, and my son enjoyed dipping both his chicken nuggets and fries from the kids menu into the fondue. We also tried the beef which we cooked tableside in a delicious butter. The restaurant is child friendly with baby chairs and a baby changing table. Reservations are recommended using their website. There are several paid parking lots outside of the medieval city. The old cobblestone streets are pedestrian friendly and fun for the children to explore.
