Felchlin Chocolate Factory

Visiting the Felchlin chocolate factory in Ibach, Switzerland, offers a delightful experience for chocolate enthusiasts like myself. Located just a 30-minute drive from Lucerne, the factory is nestled in the picturesque Canton Schwyz.

Upon arrival, the rich aroma of chocolate greets visitors. The factory store, adjacent to the production facility, allows guests to sample chocolates from various countries. Tell the store sales clerk that you wish to taste, and they will provide you with samples. Felchlin emphasizes quality and sustainability in its chocolate production. A highlight for me was tasting their exquisite dark chocolate from Bolivia. Although the store lacks interactive exhibits for children, one can taste a variety of chocolates from several different countries. For a more family-friendly interactive experience, I recommend visiting either Aeschbach ChocoWelt or Lindt Home of Chocolate.

Conveniently, free parking is available outside the factory. After indulging in chocolates, consider exploring the nearby town of Brunnen for a complete day trip. Brunnen is a charming town overlooking Lake Lucerne with shops and restaurants to explore.
