Family Fun on the Benzenschwiler Kinderweg: Playground, Marble Run & More

The Benzenschwiler Kinderweg is a fantastic, family-friendly loop trail, perfect for a leisurely 1.5-hour stroll with children. Starting at the Benzenschwil train station, where paid parking is available, you follow green signs to a large playground featuring slides, climbing structures, and sand pits-an ideal spot for kids to warm up before the walk.

The trail itself is mostly flat with some gentle inclines and is shaded in the first half alongside a beautiful, shallow river that invites children to play, build stone dams, or splash around. Several BBQ stations are scattered along the path, making it great for picnics and breaks.

One of the highlights is a large marble run-be sure to bring your own marble or a tennis ball. Other engaging stations include a charming gnome village, a labyrinth maze, a barefoot sensory path, a wooden xylophone, and a nature garden at the end. These features kept our children entertained and encouraged exploration of the forest.

We saw people on the trail with strollers, but there are a few bridges where strollers need to be carried over. Overall, the trail is mostly stroller-friendly.

The Benzenschwiler Kinderweg offers a perfect blend of nature, play, and gentle exercise, making it a great choice for family outings in the Aargau region.
