Family-Friendly Wine Tasting at Manzone Winery in Monforte d’Alba, Piemonte

We spent a wonderful afternoon at Manzone Winery in Monforte d’Alba, a family-run gem nestled in the rolling hills of Piemonte. Founded in 1925, the winery has stayed in the family through generations and continues its tradition of sustainable winegrowing today. Our tour included a peek at the impressive barrel room and the atmospheric wine bottle cave, both highlights for us and our kids—especially when they discovered a natural spring that the owners uncovered while excavating the storage area. After exploring, we relaxed with a tasting overlooking the picturesque vineyards, sampling a selection of wines while the kids enjoyed breadsticks and some coloring activities we had brought along. Our favorites were the Barolo Bricat and the unique Langhe Rossese Bianco Rosserto, a rare white variety special to this region. We appreciated the warm, family-friendly hospitality at Manzone. It’s recommended to make reservations in advance, and we were glad to find convenient parking available right at the winery.
