During our family trip to Riomaggiore, one of our absolute favorite meals was at Il Grottino, a charming restaurant just a short stroll from the train station. We were welcomed with warm, friendly service and seated on their enclosed patio along the main street, where we could take in the energy of the town while staying cool with fans and air conditioning—a welcome break after exploring the steep, sun-drenched streets. The food was nothing short of amazing: fresh pasta dishes like pesto and pomodoro, and shrimp that was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The restaurant’s stylish, modern interior, baby chairs, and clean facilities made it both comfortable and family-friendly, creating a relaxing and memorable dining experience we won’t forget.
