Nestled on the shores of Lake Lucerne, Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern offers a peaceful retreat amidst the lively city. This 5-star hotel features a spa area on the top floor, providing stunning views of the lake and Alps. While I haven’t brought my children to the spa and am unsure of the hotel’s policy regarding kids, it’s an ideal spot for a moment of relaxation in the heart of the old city.
Massages and Treatments
The spa offers a variety of treatments, including massages and facial combinations. I usually opt for the 50-minute relaxation massage, which is truly exceptional. The therapists are incredibly kind and accommodating. Although it is pricey, this is typical for massages in Switzerland. Access to the sauna and relaxation areas is included in the cost, which I believe adds great value. You don’t need to be a hotel guest to book an appointment.
Saunas and Relaxation Areas
The wellness area includes saunas and a modern relaxation lounge. Towels, robes, slippers, and lockers are provided with your massage. Guests can unwind while enjoying breathtaking views of the lake, making it a perfect place to relax. Complimentary tea, water, and light snacks are available. My favorite feature is the sauna with its window offering scenic views. Afterward, there are showers and changing rooms to freshen up. Overall, it’s a delightful experience.
Bar and Lounge
The hotel also features an inviting bar and lounge area on the ground floor. Some evenings include live music, which creates a lovely atmosphere. It’s just a 10-minute walk from Lucerne’s main train station. If arriving by car, parking is available at Parkhaus Schweizerhof, though navigating Lucerne by car can be tricky. Its prime location makes Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern a unique and tranquil escape in the heart of the city.
