Casa Ilde in Stresa, newly renovated and managed by WelcHome, is a two bedrooms and two bathrooms apartment offering plenty of space for a family getaway on Lake Maggiore. We enjoyed the views of the lake from our balcony. There is also a view of the parking lot, but it is partly covered by the trees. One evening we enjoyed gelato on the balcony of the apartment while soaking in the scenery. The apartment’s elevator made getting around easy. Although the public parking lot nearby sometimes required a short wait for a spot, it was never too long.
The location is fantastic, with many shops and restaurants just a short walk away, along with a large playground and a public beach nearby, making it ideal for families. It is also close to the ferry station so there is easy access to explore more of the lake and the Borromean Islands. Even though the city was busy, we did not hear a lot of noise from the apartment.
