Caveau Saint Jean in Colmar, France, is a cozy restaurant offering a concise menu focused on fresh, local ingredients. We enjoyed their classic Margherita pizza and the region’s traditional crispy tartes flambées (similar to a very thin-crust pizza with various topping choices). My husband was very happy with the beef entrecôte. We were lucky to get one of the last tables outside in the covered seating area. The restaurant is very popular, so make sure to arrive when it opens to get a spot. There is no kids’ menu, but there are a variety of pizzas, which my kids enjoyed. There is no baby changing table. Its setting in the historic center and its charming terrace make it a great spot for authentic Alsatian cuisine in Colmar.
